Fatti Burke is an Irish illustrator known for her work in children’s non-fiction. She collaborates frequently with her father, John Burke, who is a primary school teacher and author. Together, they have produced several books that explore aspects of Irish culture, history, and geography.
Fatti Burke’s illustrations are characterised by their vibrant colours and engaging style, designed to appeal to young readers. Her first major publication was Irelandopedia, published by Gill Books in 2015, which presents facts and stories about Ireland’s counties. This book was followed by Historopedia in 2016, which covers the history of Ireland from ancient times to the present day, and Focloiropedia in 2017, which introduces children to the Irish language.
In addition to her collaborations with John Burke, Fatti Burke has illustrated other children’s books and worked with various authors and publishers. Her work often focuses on educational themes, aiming to make learning accessible and enjoyable for children.
