Emma Bettridge biography

Emma Bettridge is a British theatre producer and dramaturg with a focus on work for children and families. She has collaborated with writers, performers and illustrators to develop new stories for stage and festivals.

Bettridge has worked as co-director of Soap Soup Theatre, producing shows that combine puppetry, live performance and illustration for young audiences. She has also served as a producer for theatre festivals, including Bristol’s Ferment at the Bristol Old Vic, supporting new writing and performance.

Her projects often bridge children’s literature and live theatre. She co-created an adaptation of Claire Freedman and Ben Cort’s picture book Aliens Love Underpants for the stage.
