Elka Evalds biography

Elka Evalds is a children’s author whose work includes picture books. She has a background in history and has taught at university level. Evalds is the author of the picture book Queen of the Hanukkah Dosas, which was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2017. The book explores themes of family and cultural traditions. Evalds’s writing often draws on her interest in diverse cultures and storytelling.
