Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Elisabeth Kamakawiwoole is a children’s author whose published work is in fantasy and speculative fiction. She is also a co-owner of Jupiter Theater Company, where she is listed as Chief Operations Officer.
Kamakawiwoole’s debut children’s novel is The Seventeenth Quest, a middle grade story published in the UK by Puffin (Penguin Random House Children’s UK). The novel features a robot named Seventeen who is assigned a mission to find humanity after humans have disappeared.
In January 2026, Publishers Weekly reported that Knopf acquired world English rights to The Seventeenth Quest, with black-and-white illustrations by Elise Hurst.
The Seventeenth Quest is scheduled for publication in hardback on 1 October 2026 by Puffin, ISBN 9780241827703.
