Eddie Reynolds is a children’s nonfiction author and editor whose work for Usborne Publishing spans activity books and accessible introductions to complex subjects. He joined Usborne in 2017 after studying German and French at the University of Cambridge. Earlier roles included a period teaching Ancient History at a school in Guangzhou and time spent living in Berlin.
Reynolds writes across Usborne’s educational and activity lists, with titles that encourage problem-solving, creativity and clear thinking. His books include the Engineering Scribble Book, which invites readers to design and test ideas through practical challenges, and the Unworry Drawing Book, a draw-in title developed with input from a child psychologist to support calm, focused creativity. He has also written lift-the-flap and activity titles in maths and STEM strands.
In economics and civic literacy, Reynolds co-authored Understanding Money, introducing readers to earning, spending, saving, inflation and public finance. He has contributed to wider Usborne series and compilations that explain science, technology and environmental topics for young audiences.
Reynolds’s bibliography reflects a focus on clear structure, step-by-step explanation and hands-on tasks, helping readers build confidence in subjects from engineering and computing to maps and everyday finance. Selected titles have appeared in multiple formats and international editions through trade partners.
