Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Eddie Reynolds is a children’s nonfiction author for Usborne Publishing. He joined Usborne in 2017 after studying German and French at the University of Cambridge and teaching Ancient History at a school in Guangzhou, China.
His Usborne books cover subjects including computers, maps, engineering, maths, money, climate change and wellbeing. Published titles include Maps Activity Book, Lift-the-Flap Maths Shapes, Engineering Scribble Book, Architecture Scribble Book, Unhurry Book and Unworry Drawing Book.
Reynolds co-wrote 100 Things to Know About Numbers, Computers & Coding with Alice James, Minna Lacey, Rose Hall and Alex Frith. Usborne Publishing published the book in 2018, with illustrations by Federico Mariani, Parko Polo and Shaw Nielsen.
He also co-wrote Climate Crisis for Beginners with Andy Prentice. Usborne published the 128-page hardback in January 2021, with illustrations by El Primo Ramón.
His money books include Money for Beginners, written with Matthew Oldham and illustrated by Marco Bonatti. Usborne published the 128-page hardback in September 2019, and later published Understanding Money in October 2024.
