E. Kennedy biography

E. Kennedy is the name used by Elle Kennedy for young adult thriller fiction. Kennedy is a Canadian author whose published work includes contemporary romance, romantic suspense, new adult fiction and young adult fiction.

Kennedy holds a BA in English from York University. Her books include the Off-Campus series, the Briar U series, the Avalon Bay series and the Killer Instincts novels.

She has appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. Her published work includes more than 40 titles across contemporary romance and romantic suspense.

Thornbird is her first young adult thriller under the name E. Kennedy. The novel follows Ryan Shipley, the daughter of a convicted serial killer, as she returns to the town connected with her family’s past.

The UK paperback edition of Thornbird is scheduled for publication by Electric Monkey on 2 July 2026.
