E.K. Mosley biography

E.K. Mosley is a British writer and illustrator of picture books published by Flying Eye Books. Their work combines character-led storytelling with detailed artwork and has appeared in book form and print editions.

Mosley studied Illustration at Falmouth University and works as a freelance illustrator and writer. Their practice spans paint pens, ink, watercolour and digital techniques, alongside a hand-cut stencil screen-printing process influenced by Japanese woodblock prints.

The Last Stardog, written and illustrated by Mosley and published by Flying Eye Books in October 2023, introduces Stardog, a celestial guardian who journeys to find others of her kind. The title is supported by publisher-produced activity materials for schools and families. A follow-up picture book, The Last Stardog and The Comet’s Ship, is listed by Penguin Random House as a Flying Eye Books title.

Beyond book publication, Mosley’s imagery from the Stardog world has been issued as fine-art prints. Mosley also shares work-in-progress and readings through official channels.

The Last Stardog was published by Flying Eye Books in October 2023.
