Deborah Hocking biography

Deborah Hocking is a children’s book illustrator based in Portland, Oregon. She is known for character-driven artwork in picture books and early years titles.

Her published work includes The Great Henry Hopendower (HarperCollins), written by Justin Roberts. She has also illustrated titles such as A Little Bit of Courage and A Little Bit of Brave, written by Claire Alexander.

She earned a Master’s degree in children’s book illustration from the Cambridge School of Art.

Hocking continues to illustrate books for international publishers.
