David Brayley is an author and sportswriter. He has written two autobiographies for elite sportsmen, cricketer Tony Cottey and Wales international football captain Ashley Williams. He has also written two official books for Swansea City and a cycling novel, Champion of Champions.

The first book, Kick Off, was published on 1 December 2020, and the second, Impact, was published on 28 December 2021 by Birlinn, Limited. George’s Fateful D-Day, a young adult novel set in south Wales in 1943-44, was published by Y Lolfa on 21 August 2025.
