Dane Thibeault is an illustrator and a recent graduate of the Visual Communications Design programme at Alberta University of the Arts. He illustrated Yolanda Ridge’s non-fiction book Evolution Under Pressure: How We Change Nature and How Nature Changes Us, published by Annick Press in 2023 for readers aged 10 to 14. The book uses his artwork alongside material about how human activity affects the evolution of animals and ecosystems.
Thibeault also illustrated Keep Smashing It: Be Strong, Be Brave, Be Confident, written by Jodie Ounsley with Becky Grey and published by Macmillan Children’s Books in March 2025. This children’s non-fiction title is aimed at middle-grade readers and centres on confidence, resilience, deafness and disability representation. In March 2025, his illustrations appeared in Keep Smashing It: Be Strong, Be Brave, Be Confident.
