Clare Collinson biography

Clare Collinson writes non-fiction for children and has also worked as an editor on illustrated visitor guides. Winter was published as a 32-page paperback on 1 March 2013.

Her work for young readers includes Fall, Spring, Winter and The First Civilizations to 500 BCE. Fall and The First Civilizations to 500 BCE were published in 2010, Spring was published in 2010 in two editions, and Winter was published in 2013.

Collinson edited Oxford Colleges, a 32-page paperback guide illustrated by Bullen and published on 1 April 2008. The guide introduces Oxford’s colleges through their history, architecture, customs and connections with people who founded, studied or taught there.

Collinson also edited Liverpool, a 32-page Pitkin City Guide written by John McIlwain and published on 10 March 2008. The guide is based on a walk around Liverpool and covers the city’s architecture, museums, galleries, cultural heritage and Cavern Quarter.
