Clare Collinson is a UK writer and editor of educational books for children. She lives in Oxford. She has a strong interest in wildlife, plants and the environment, which inspires much of her work.
She is author of the “Nature in Your Neighbourhood” series, which includes titles such as Nature in Your Neighbourhood: British Trees and Flowers, British Birds and British Insects and Other Minibeasts. These are aimed at young naturalists, showing wildlife found close to home.
Collinson also wrote the “Thinking About the Seasons” series, including books titled Autumn, Summer, Winter and Thinking About the Seasons: Spring, combining friendly text with photographs and illustrations for young readers aged about five and up.
Her books are published by Hachette Children’s Group and other educational imprints, widely available through UK educational suppliers.
