Ben Manley is a British author and designer known for his work in children’s literature. He has written several picture books, including The Misadventures of Frederick, illustrated by Emma Chichester Clark and published by Two Hoots in 2019. This book was longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2020. Manley is also the author of Albert Talbot: Master of Disguise, illustrated by Aurélie Guillerey and published by Macmillan Children’s Books in 2020. His other works include Daddy Long Legs, illustrated by Aurelie Guillerey and published by Two Hoots in 2018.
In addition to writing, Manley has worked as a digital copywriter and designer. His books have been published by established UK publishers such as Macmillan Children’s Books and Two Hoots. The Misadventures of Frederick was selected as a Sunday Times Children’s Book of the Week in 2019. Manley’s writing often features collaboration with illustrators, contributing to the visual and narrative appeal of his picture books.
