Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Barry Falls is a Northern Irish author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He has produced illustrations for a range of clients, including The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Telegraph. Falls is the author and illustrator of the picture book It’s Your World Now!, published by Pavilion Children’s Books in 2019. The book was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in 2020.
In 2021, Falls wrote and illustrated Alphonse, There’s Mud on the Ceiling!, also published by Pavilion. His illustrations are recognised for their vibrant, detailed style. Falls has contributed artwork to various commercial and editorial projects, and his work has been exhibited internationally. He is represented by Arena Illustration.
