Anne-Kathrin Behl biography

Anne-Kathrin Behl is a children’s writer and illustrator from Germany. She grew up in Greifswald and studied illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Her work is in children’s books, and her genre is children’s literature.

Her books include Robert and the World’s Best Cake, with David Henry Wilson as translator, and Tobi y los ancianos / Tobi and the Elderly, for which she is also the illustrator. She illustrated Help, I Don’t Want a Babysitter!, written by Anke Wagner and published in 2015.

Behl illustrated the National Trust: Big Outdoors for Little Explorers board-book series for very young children. Countryside and Seaside were published on 3 March 2022, Woods and River on 4 August 2022, Farm on 16 March 2023, and Snow on 12 October 2023. The series uses sliders on every page and introduces animals and habitats including countryside, seaside, woods, river, farm and snow settings.
