Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Anna Fiske is a Swedish-born illustrator, cartoonist, and children’s author who has lived in Norway since 1994. She studied at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Fiske is recognised for her wide-ranging work in children’s literature, comics, and non-fiction for young readers.
Her publications include nearly seventy titles, spanning picture books, graphic novels, and educational non-fiction. Among her best-known works are the graphic novels Forvandlingen (1999), Snakke med dyr (2002), and Danse på teppet (2004). She was also editor of the comics magazine Rabbel from 2005 to 2009.
Fiske’s recent non-fiction titles for children include the “Hvordan” (“How”) series: How Do You Make a Baby? (2019)
