Angelica Cheng biography

Angelica Cheng is a young adult and romance author. She is represented by Claire Friedman at InkWell Management. Her debut novel, The Fast Track, was inspired by her interest in Formula 1 and her professional experience in a male-dominated industry.

The Fast Track is a contemporary YA romance about Justine Kwong, an ambitious racing driver who hopes to become the first female Formula 1 champion. After earning an opportunity to compete in Formula 3, Justine must prove herself while contending with prejudice, intense competition and her growing feelings for her teammate and rival, Cameron Evans.

Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers publishes the novel in North America, where it was named a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. Ink Road acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights at auction and publishes the UK paperback through Bonnier Books UK on 4 August 2026.
