Yomi Adegoke biography

Yomi Adegoke is a British journalist, author and broadcaster. She studied law at the University of Warwick. She co-founded the magazine “Birthday” while at university, a publication for young Black girls.

In 2018 she co-authored Slay in Your Lane: The Black Girl Bible with Elizabeth Uviebinené. The book includes interviews with Black women covering career, education, dating and health.

Her children’s / middle-grade novel The Offline Diaries, co-written with Elizabeth Uviebinené, was published by HarperCollins. It follows two Year 8 girls, Ade and Shanice, as they settle into new experiences at school and manage online friendship dynamics. The book is aimed at readers aged nine and above.

Her debut solo novel, The List, was published in 2023. It became a Sunday Times bestseller and was nominated for two British Book Awards.
