Victor Engbers biography
Victor Engbers is a Dutch artist, illustrator and author born in 1970 in the south of the Netherlands. He studied law and later worked as a journalist before becoming an artist in his forties.
He lives in Amsterdam.
Engbers is the creator of the “Captain Danger” picture-book series. The books include Captain Danger and the Stupid Shadow and Captain Danger and the Time Ghost.
His books are translated from Dutch into English; the translator David Colmer has translated some of his works for Pushkin Children’s Books.
One of his books, Captain Danger and the Stupid Shadow, is listed on UK children’s reading-lists and available for purchase in the UK.
