Ukyō Kodachi is a Japanese novelist, manga artist and screenwriter. He began his professional writing career in 2008 with the novel adaptation of Macross Frontier and made his debut as a screenwriter in 2013.
He was the writer for the manga series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations from 2016 until 2020. He also co-wrote the screenplay for Boruto: Naruto the Movie.
Kodachi has worked on manga including Infini-T Force: Arc to the Future (2015–2020), illustrated by Tatsuma Ejiri, and the light novel adaptations of several anime series and games, such as Queen’s Blade Rebellion and Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.
He began by creating tabletop role-playing games, and the early influence of science and RPGs is evident in his later work, including the blend of traditional ninja narrative and technological themes in Boruto.
