Stewart Foster is a British author known for his children’s and young adult fiction. His debut adult novel, We Used to Be Kings, was published by Jonathan Cape in 2013. Foster’s first children’s novel, The Bubble Boy, was released by Simon & Schuster Children’s UK in 2016. The book tells the story of a boy living with severe combined immunodeficiency and received critical attention for its subject matter.
Foster’s subsequent children’s books include All the Things That Could Go Wrong (2017), Check Mates (2019), The Perfect Parent Project (2021), and Can You Feel the Noise? (2022), all published by Simon & Schuster Children’s UK. His works often explore themes relevant to young readers, including friendship, resilience, and difference.
In 2017, The Bubble Boy was selected as the winner of the Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Award in the Fiction category. Foster’s books have been shortlisted for several other awards, including the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and the Blue Peter Book Award.
Foster has contributed to anthologies and participated in school and festival events across the UK. His books have been translated into multiple languages. Can You Feel the Noise? was published in 2022.
