Steve Weatherill biography

Steve Weatherill is a British author, illustrator, and cartoonist. He studied fine art and film-making at Hornsey College of Art and the Royal College of Art. Weatherill is best known for his children’s picture books, particularly the Baby Goz series, which includes titles such as Baby Goz (1990), Good Night Goz (1997), and Count on Goz (2017). These books, first published by Frances Lincoln and Pan Macmillan, are designed for early readers and feature interactive elements like lift-the-flap pages. The Baby Goz series has been translated into multiple languages, including French, German, Welsh, and Polish, with bilingual editions available.

In addition to his work on the Baby Goz series, Weatherill has collaborated with his wife, Susan, to create educational activity books for children. These include the Crafty Histories and Read & Play series, published by b small publishing. These books aim to engage young readers with historical themes through interactive activities and storytelling.

Weatherill is also known for his interactive storytelling sessions, which he has conducted in over 1,000 schools and libraries across the UK. These sessions often involve children in drawing activities and dramatizations of stories, fostering creativity and engagement with literature.
