Stephen Moss is a British naturalist, author, and broadcaster known for his extensive work on birds and wildlife. He has written numerous books focusing on natural history, particularly ornithology. Moss has contributed to a range of publications and has been involved in the production of wildlife television programmes, including work for the BBC.
He has authored several books, including The Robin: A Biography, The Wren: A Biography, and Wild Hares and Hummingbirds: The Natural History of an English Village. His writing often explores the lives of British birds and the changing nature of the countryside. Moss is also recognised for his role as the original producer of the BBC’s long-running series Springwatch.
In addition to his books and broadcasting work, Moss has contributed articles and columns to newspapers such as The Guardian. He has also been involved in teaching and lecturing on nature writing and wildlife media.
