Sarah Walden biography

Sarah Walden is a UK children’s author and publishing professional. After roles in book buying and strategy at Penguin and Scholastic, she became chief operating officer at The Book People. In 2020 she founded the children’s publisher Noodle Juice, leading its commissioning and creative output.

Walden writes accessible nonfiction and activity titles for primary and lower-secondary readers, often combining clear explanations with practical tasks. Her books span technology, money, performance arts, seasonal activities, cookery and puzzles.

Her titles include What Is Technology? and What Is Money? in the Little Book, Big Idea series; Llama Can’t Cook; Christmas Is Coming Sticker Activity Book; and the puzzle collections Fantastic Puzzles for Five Year Olds, Sensational Puzzles for Six Year Olds, and Spectacular Puzzles for Seven Year Olds, among others. She is also the author of All the World’s a Stage, illustrated by Hannah Li, part of Noodle Juice’s Express Yourself series.
