Ruth Lauren is a British author known for her work in children’s and young adult fiction. Her debut novel, Prisoner of Ice and Snow, was published by Bloomsbury in 2017. The book is a middle-grade fantasy set in a Russian-inspired world and follows the story of Valor, a girl who deliberately gets herself imprisoned to rescue her sister. The sequel, Seeker of the Crown, was released in 2018, also by Bloomsbury.
Lauren’s books have been published in multiple countries and translated into several languages. Prisoner of Ice and Snow was selected as a Junior Library Guild selection in the United States. Her work has been reviewed by publications such as Kirkus Reviews and Publishers Weekly.
Ruth Lauren is represented by Claire Wilson at Rogers, Coleridge & White literary agency. She has contributed short stories to anthologies and has participated in events for young readers. Her most recent published novel is Seeker of the Crown (2018).
