Robin Etherington is a British comics writer who works with his brother, illustrator Lorenzo Etherington, as The Etherington Brothers. He has written original comic material since 2003 for children’s story comics and all-ages graphic novels, and has also written for film and animation scripts.
His early work includes Monkey Nuts: The Diamond Egg of Wonders, originally created for The DFC, the weekly children’s comic published by David Fickling Books. In the same period he co-created Baggage, published as part of the DFC Library line.
For The Phoenix, the Etheringtons created long-running adventure series and puzzle-led comics, including Long Gone Don and the interactive Von Doogan books, published in collected editions by David Fickling Books. Etherington has also written comic strips for print and digital outlets beyond these series.
In addition to narrative work, he co-created the free online drawing tuition series How to Think When You Draw, which began in 2017.
