Rebecca is a versatile children’s author living in London. She grew up in Oxford, Belfast and Cheshire, returning to Oxford for university, where she studied Classics. Having worked as an editor in publishing for over ten years before going freelance, Rebecca has written and ghostwritten a number of young fiction, joke books and activity books. Her first non-fiction title under her own name was ‘Mythical Science‘, published in June 2022.
As one half of ‘Pip Bird’, Rebecca co-wrote the bestselling, thirteen-book Naughtiest Unicorn series with Liz Bankes, illustrated by David O’Connell. The series has been translated into eight languages, has a Bronze Medal in the Made for Mums Awards 2020 and was shortlisted for the Alligator’s Mouth Award 2020 for young illustrated fiction.
Rebecca runs screen-free reading and writing camps for children aged 8-11 in the school holidays, after developing her school visit creative writing offering.
Her latest series are Nora Nightsky for young readers and Dream Keepers for the younger end of middle grade, with more to come in 2026.
