Rebecca Barrow is a British author known for her contemporary young adult novels. She has written several books that explore themes such as identity, family, and resilience. Barrow’s debut novel, You Don’t Know Me But I Know You, was published by HarperTeen in 2017. The story follows a teenager navigating the complexities of an unplanned pregnancy and adoption, drawing on Barrow’s interest in nuanced, character-driven narratives.
Her subsequent works include This Is What It Feels Like (HarperTeen, 2018), which centres on friendship, music, and second chances, and Bad Things Happen Here (Margaret K. McElderry Books, 2022), a mystery set on a fictional island. Barrow’s writing often features diverse casts and addresses issues relevant to young adults, including mental health and self-discovery.
In addition to her novels, Barrow has contributed to anthologies such as Up All Night: 13 Stories Between Sunset and Sunrise (Algonquin Young Readers, 2021). Her book And Don’t Look Back was published by Margaret K. McElderry Books in 2023.
