Raven Kennedy is a fantasy author best known for the dark fantasy romance sequence The Plated Prisoner, a retelling inspired by the myth of King Midas that centres on Auren’s voice and agency.
The Plated Prisoner series runs across six novels – Gild (2020), Glint (2021), Gleam (2021), Glow (2022), Gold (2023), and Goldfinch (2024). Alongside the main sequence she has produced bonus material and special editions for readers of the world.
Kennedy’s earlier work includes the Heart Hassle romcom fantasy cycle beginning with Signs of Cupidity (2018) and continuing with Bonds of Cupidity (2018), Crimes of Cupidity (2019), and follow-ups. She has also co-authored the Hellgate Guardians series with Ivy Asher and written the Pack of Misfits titles.
Her publisher lists The Plated Prisoner for screen adaptation with Mandalay Television, and in 2025 Kate Rorick was named showrunner for the television series.
