Priscilla Mante is a British children’s author known for her contemporary middle-grade fiction. She grew up in South London and has a background in psychology. Mante’s writing often explores themes of friendship, identity, and sport, drawing on her own experiences and interests.
Her debut novel, Jaz Santos vs. the World, was published by Puffin in 2021. The book introduces the Dream Team series and follows the story of a young girl who forms her own girls’ football team. The series is aimed at readers aged 9 and above and is inspired by Mante’s passion for football and her desire to see more diverse representation in children’s literature.
The second book in the series, Charligh Green vs. the Spotlight, was published by Puffin in 2022. Both books focus on empowering young readers through relatable characters and real-life challenges.
Priscilla Mante’s Jaz Santos vs. the World was published by Puffin in 2021.
