Philip Steele is a British author known for his extensive work in children’s non-fiction. Steele studied English at University College, Oxford, before beginning his career in publishing. He initially worked as an editor for various publishers, focusing on educational and reference materials.

Over the years, he has contributed to series and standalone titles for several major publishers, including Dorling Kindersley, Kingfisher, and Usborne.
