Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Pete Williamson is a British illustrator, artist and animation designer who works on children’s books. He began his creative career in the mid-1990s, working in London as a character and background designer in the animation industry.
Williamson began illustrating children’s books in 2008. His collaborations include work with Marcus Sedgwick on the The Raven Mysteries series (2009 to 2011) and the Elf Girl and Raven Boy series (2012 to 2015).
In 2011, Lunatics and Luck (from The Raven Mysteries) won the Blue Peter Book Award for Best Book with Pictures.
Williamson has also illustrated books by Guy Bass, including the Stitch Head series. Stitch Head: The Graphic Novel (written by Guy Bass) was published by Little Tiger on 1 February 2024 (ISBN 9781788956376).
