Noriyuki Konishi is a Japanese manga artist known for his work in children’s literature, particularly in the manga adaptation of the Yo-kai Watch series. His manga is based on the popular video game franchise developed by Level-5. The Yo-kai Watch manga began serialization in 2012 in the magazine CoroCoro Comic, published by Shogakukan.
The series follows the adventures of a boy who discovers and befriends various Yo-kai, supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore. Konishi’s adaptation is noted for its comedic style and accessibility for younger readers. The manga has been published in English by VIZ Media, with the first volume released in 2015.
Noriyuki Konishi’s Yo-kai Watch manga was nominated for the 38th Kodansha Manga Award in the Children’s category in 2014.
