ND Stevenson biography

ND Stevenson is an American author, cartoonist, and illustrator known for his work in graphic novels and animation. He studied illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art. While a student, Stevenson began publishing the webcomic Nimona, which was later released as a graphic novel by HarperCollins in 2015.

Stevenson is also recognised for his contributions to the comic series Lumberjanes, published by BOOM! Studios. He served as a writer and artist on the series, which began publication in 2014. In addition to his work in comics, Stevenson was the creator and showrunner of the animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power for Netflix, which premiered in 2018.

Stevenson’s graphic memoir The Fire Never Goes Out: A Memoir in Pictures was published by HarperCollins in 2020. His work has received recognition from several industry awards, including the Eisner Award for Best Webcomic in 2015 for Nimona.
