Natasha Wing is an American author known for her work in children’s literature. She has written numerous picture books and early readers, with a particular focus on stories that engage young children and support early learning. Wing is best recognised for her series of books that playfully explore the anticipation and excitement surrounding holidays and special occasions.

Her most notable work is The Night Before Kindergarten, published in 2001 by Grosset & Dunlap. This book is part of her popular “The Night Before” series, which adapts the rhythm and style of the classic poem “The Night Before Christmas” to various childhood milestones and celebrations. The series includes titles such as The Night Before First Grade, The Night Before St. Patrick’s Day, and The Night Before the Tooth Fairy, among others.

Natasha Wing’s books are widely used in educational settings and at home to help children prepare for new experiences.
