Myles McLeod is a British author, screenwriter, and poet, known for his work in children’s literature and animation. He is one half of The Brothers McLeod, a creative partnership with his brother Greg McLeod, who is an illustrator and animator. Together, they have produced a range of books, television series, and short films.
Myles McLeod has written for several children’s television programmes, including Hey Duggee, Clangers, and Octonauts. His writing credits also include the animated series Quiff and Boot and Circle Square. In addition to his screenwriting, McLeod has authored children’s books such as Knight Sir Louis and the Dreadful Damsel, published by Guppy Books in 2020, and its sequels Knight Sir Louis and the Dragon of Doooooom! and Knight Sir Louis and the Sorcerer of Slime.
His poetry has appeared in anthologies and magazines, and he has contributed to educational resources for schools. The Brothers McLeod’s animated short film Do We Have A Problem? was nominated for a BAFTA in 2009. Myles McLeod’s work often combines humour and adventure, and he collaborates closely with his brother on both literary and animation projects.
In 2022, Myles McLeod’s book Knight Sir Louis and the Sinister Snowball was published by Guppy Books.
