Mikio Ikemoto biography

Mikio Ikemoto is a Japanese manga artist known for his work in the manga industry. He began his career as an assistant to Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the popular series Naruto. Ikemoto contributed to the original Naruto manga during its serialization, supporting the production of the series through various stages.

Following the conclusion of Naruto, Ikemoto was selected to illustrate the sequel series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The story for Boruto is written by Ukyo Kodachi, with Masashi Kishimoto later taking over as writer. The series began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2016 and later moved to V Jump, both published by Shueisha.

Ikemoto’s work on Boruto: Naruto Next Generations continues the narrative of the original Naruto series, focusing on the next generation of ninja. The manga has been published in English by VIZ Media.
