Maggie Stiefvater biography

Maggie Stiefvater is an American author known for her work in young adult fiction. She is the author of several series and standalone novels, often exploring themes of fantasy and the supernatural. Stiefvater’s debut novel, Lament: The Faerie Queen’s Deception, was published in 2008 by Flux. She followed this with Ballad: A Gathering of Faerie in 2009.

Stiefvater is widely recognised for The Wolves of Mercy Falls series, which began with Shiver in 2009, published by Scholastic Press. The series continued with Linger (2010), Forever (2011), and Sinner (2014). Her work often features lyrical prose and complex characters, set against imaginative backdrops.

Another notable series by Stiefvater is The Raven Cycle, published by Scholastic Press. The first book, The Raven Boys, was released in 2012, followed by The Dream Thieves (2013), Blue Lily, Lily Blue (2014), and The Raven King (2016). The series centres on a group of teenagers searching for a lost Welsh king, blending elements of magic, friendship, and mystery.

Stiefvater has also written standalone novels, including The Scorpio Races (2011), which was published by Scholastic Press. In addition to her writing, she is known for her work as an artist and musician.
