Lucy Bowman is a children’s author who writes widely for Usborne, producing non-fiction, retellings, activity books and puzzle-led titles for primary readers. Her work spans science, nature, space, history and creative play, with accessible text tailored to independent reading and shared use in classrooms.
Her credits include retellings such as How Bear Lost His Tail in Usborne First Reading, activity and sticker books including Sticker Dolly Dressing Popstars and Christmas Sticker Book, and information titles such as Living in Space, Antarctica, Ants, Bugs and Lots of Things to Spot Around the World. She has also written skills and logic titles, including a Chess Activity Book designed to introduce rules, tactics and problem-solving to younger players.
Bowman completed a degree in American Studies before joining Usborne to write across topics from Antarctica to space to games and puzzles.
