Lou Kuenzler is a British author known for writing children’s books, particularly for younger readers. She has written a range of fiction, including chapter books and series for primary-aged children. Kuenzler’s work often features humour and imaginative scenarios, appealing to children who are developing their reading confidence.
Among her published works is the series Princess DisGrace, which follows the adventures of a young princess at a school for royalty. The first book in this series, Princess DisGrace: First Term at Tall Towers, was published by Scholastic in 2015. Kuenzler has also written the Shrink series, beginning with Shrinking Violet, published by Scholastic in 2013. This series centres on a girl who discovers she can shrink to the size of a fish finger, leading to a variety of comic situations.
In addition to her series fiction, Kuenzler has written standalone titles and contributed to anthologies. Her books are published by established children’s publishers, including Scholastic and Faber & Faber. Kuenzler’s writing is aimed at children in the early years of independent reading, and her stories are often illustrated to support engagement and comprehension.
