Libby Walden is a British children’s author and editor. She has written and edited numerous picture books, often focusing on themes of nature, emotions, and discovery. Walden has collaborated with a range of illustrators, including Richard Jones and Clover Robin. Her debut picture book, Under the Same Sky, illustrated by Richard Jones, was published by Little Tiger Press in 2017. The book was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in the Illustrated Books category in 2018.
Other notable works by Walden include Through the Animal Kingdom, In the Darkness of the Night, Bird House, and Home Is…. She has also edited and contributed to several interactive and novelty books, such as My Mindful Little One: Bedtime and My Mindful Little One: Focus. Walden’s books have been published internationally and translated into multiple languages.
In addition to her writing, Walden has worked as an editor at Little Tiger Press, where she has overseen the development of a variety of children’s titles. Her work has received recognition from industry awards and has been featured in recommended reading lists for young children. Under the Same Sky remains one of her most widely recognised titles.
