Leonard Jägerskiöld Nilsson is a Swedish sports journalist and author. He has worked as a producer for the Eurosport and Discovery networks, alongside writing about the visual culture of sport.
His best-known English-language book is World Football Club Crests: The Design, Meaning and Symbolism of World Football’s Most Famous Club Badges, a global survey of club emblems that explains their origins and iconography.
He has also written in Swedish on the subject of sporting symbols, including Fotbollens heraldik and Hockeyns heraldik, which explore how team identities are expressed through badges and logos.
World Football Club Crests was published by Bloomsbury Sport in 2018.
