Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Lee Cosgrove is a UK children’s illustrator whose work spans picture books, chapter books and educational non-fiction for major publishers including Andersen Press, Little Tiger, Simon & Schuster, Lerner and Sleeping Bear Press.
His fiction credits include Barry Hutchison’s comic-horror series beginning with Night of the Living Ted, followed by Revenge of the Living Ted and Invasion of the Living Ted. He has also illustrated short, high-interest fiction with Jo Simmons for Barrington Stoke, including The Day of the Jackdaw and The Day the Hiccups Took Over.
Cosgrove’s non-fiction and early reader work includes titles such as My Very First Space Book, Sharks Can’t Smile! and Alligators and Crocodiles Can’t Chew!, alongside picture-book projects such as Pirates vs. Monsters. His illustrations emphasise character, humour and clear visual storytelling for young readers.
Night of the Living Ted was first published in 2018.
