Koyoharu Gotouge is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Gotouge began their professional manga career after submitting a work to the 70th Jump Treasure Newcomer Manga Awards in 2013. Their debut one-shot, Kagarigari, was published in the same year.
Following this, Gotouge produced several other one-shots, including Monju Shirō Kyōdai, Rokkotsu-san, and Haeniwa no Zigzag. In 2016, Gotouge launched Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, published by Shueisha. The series follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his family is attacked by demons. The manga ran from 2016 to 2020 and was collected in 23 volumes.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has received recognition within the manga industry, including a nomination for the 23rd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2019.
