Katie Jennings is a children’s author whose early reader chapter book Rocket Boy is published by Little Tiger. Written for newly independent readers, the story follows Callum, a space-mad child who transforms cardboard boxes into a spaceship and blasts off with his stowaway cat to explore the solar system.

Rocket Boy, illustrated in full colour by Joe Lillington, mixes facts about space with an imaginative adventure and is part of Little Tiger’s Colour Fiction list for ages 5–7. Publisher materials highlight themes of curiosity, creativity and friendship, supported by a classroom teaching guide.
