Katharine Quarmby biography

Katharine Quarmby is a writer, editor and investigative journalist. She has worked in television journalism, including on the BBC programmes Panorama and Newsnight, and has written for publications including The Economist, The Guardian, Newsweek, Prospect and Private Eye.

Quarmby has written books for children and collaborated with Romani storyteller Richard O’Neill on picture books published by Child’s Play (International). Their titles include Ossiri and the Bala Mengro, illustrated by Hannah Tolson and first published in June 2016, and Yokki and the Parno Gry, illustrated by Marieke Nelissen.

In 2016, Ossiri and the Bala Mengro received a Bronze Award from Primary Teacher Update magazine.
