Kate Castle is a children’s non-fiction author who writes about dance. Publisher and bookseller biographies describe her as a former dancer with The Royal Ballet at Covent Garden. She later worked as the company’s education officer and has continued as a dance consultant and educator.
Castle is the author of My First Ballet Book, a practical guide for young dancers that explains what happens in class and how to prepare for performing, supported by specially commissioned photographs. Bibliographic records list early Kingfisher editions of the book in 2006, with later reissues under the Kingfisher imprint.
Pan Macmillan’s Kingfisher list includes a paperback edition of My First Ballet Book with 48 pages and ISBN 9780753448830.
My First Ballet Book was published by Kingfisher (Pan Macmillan) in 2023 (ISBN 9780753448830).
