Johannah Haney is an American writer, editor and content strategist with a focus on health, nutrition and science communication. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, The Latin Kitchen and Modern Bride.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from The Ohio State University and a Master of Arts in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College. For several years, she taught courses in magazine publishing and online writing at Emerson College.
Haney is the author of more than 20 non-fiction books for younger audiences, covering topics such as health, nuclear energy, endangered species, pets and lakes. She aims to present complex scientific and health topics in accessible language.
As of 2025, Haney continues to publish and contribute to health and science journalism.
