Joanna McInerney is a British children’s author and editor. She began her career as a primary school teacher before moving into children’s publishing.
McInerney has published a range of picture books and activity titles. Her Flip Flap Snap series includes Flip Flap Snap: Pets, Flip Flap Snap: Dinosaurs and Flip Flap Snap: Jungle.
Her book The Fawn Who Chased the Sun is among her best known titles, and another of her works, Made for Each Other, explores mutual adaptations in nature.
She also contributes editorial work, such as editing Farm Babies.
Her author biography states she writes in London and seeks to engage children with the world around them through narrative and visual books.
