Jesús Verona biography

Jesús Verona is a children’s book illustrator whose work includes both freelance commissions and agency projects. His illustrations appear in the National Trust “Look What I Found” series and the nature-activity book Sunday Funday: A Nature Activity for Every Weekend of the Year.

He was born in Madrid and pursued design and illustration studies at an arts school in Stockholm.

Publisher descriptions note Verona’s interest in nature, typography, architecture and design, and his intentional approach to combining realism and educational content in his art. His illustrations are characterised by vivid colours and fine detail.

Verona’s contributions to the “Look What I Found” series include Look What I Found in the Woods, Look What I Found at the Seaside and Look What I Found on the Farm. He also illustrated Sunday Funday, a nature-activity book published in conjunction with the National Trust.
