Jess Popplewell is a British writer whose debut novel, The Dark Within Us, was awarded the Chairman’s Prize in the 2022 Times/Chicken House competition.
She studied English and Creative Writing at Lancaster University, completing her degree in 2011, and later earned an MA in Creative Writing from York St John University in 2016.
